Logistics & Fleet Management App Development
Last updated: February 2026
A logistics platform with live fleet tracking, route optimization, a driver mobile app, shipment management, proof of delivery, dispatch control, and operations analytics.
Technologies Used:
Overview
We build an end-to-end logistics and fleet management platform that connects dispatchers, drivers, and management in real time. It includes a driver mobile app for assignments, navigation, and proof of delivery, a dispatch and operations dashboard for assigning and tracking shipments, live GPS fleet tracking on a map, route optimization to cut fuel and time, and analytics on deliveries, drivers, and vehicle performance. The system handles shipments and orders from creation to delivered status, with customer-facing tracking and signature or photo proof of delivery. It is built for courier and delivery companies, distributors, and any operation running a fleet that needs visibility and control over every vehicle and shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it include a driver app?
Yes. Every tier includes a native driver app for iOS and Android where drivers see assigned jobs, get navigation, update delivery status, and capture proof of delivery. Dispatchers manage everything from a separate web dashboard, and both stay in sync in real time.
How does route optimization work?
From the Professional tier, the system plans the most efficient sequence of stops for each driver based on locations, time windows, and traffic, then feeds turn-by-turn navigation to the driver app. This cuts fuel cost, mileage, and time per route. The Enterprise tier adds automated load planning across the whole fleet.
Can customers track their deliveries?
Yes. From the Professional tier we generate customer-facing live tracking links and status notifications, so recipients see where their delivery is and get alerts as it progresses. The Enterprise tier adds a full customer portal for order placement and history.
What drives the cost and timeline?
The main factors are fleet size, whether you need route optimization and automated dispatch, the depth of proof of delivery, customer-facing features, and integrations with telematics, billing, or ERP systems. A core tracking and driver app build takes about seven to nine weeks, while a full operations platform runs three to five months.
Will it scale to a large fleet?
Yes. We build on a geospatial database with real-time messaging and caching, so live tracking and dispatch stay fast as vehicles and shipments grow. The Enterprise tier is designed for multi-depot operations, large fleets, and high daily delivery volume.
